YSPB Founder/Conductor Connie Drosakis named Teacher of the Year

FMEA awards Connie Drosakis as 2022 Secondary Music Teacher of the Year.
FMEA, Florida Music Educator's Association, has named YSPB's Founder and Conductor, Connie Drosakis, as 2022 Secondary Music Teacher of the Year. She received the award at their January Conference. The FMEA Professional Development Conference is one of the largest music education professional development events in the United States.
Connie Drosakis has been a music educator for 36 years. She taught for 14 years at Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Boynton Beach and is currently in her 22nd and final year as choral director of Bak Middle School of the Arts.
In 2002/2003 she, Shawn Berry and Michael Yannette started Young Singers of the Palm Beaches with the desire to bring quality choral instruction and performance opportunities to youth regardless of school affiliation, religion, status or income. Twenty years later and the organization is proud to boast that we are well-loved success!
