Preventing the spread of Covid-19 means that the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches cannot rehearse in person, but that won't keep the choir from singing together!
The Young Singers of the Palm Beaches award-winning community children's choir announced that they are opening their 2020/2021 season virtually, and the online format means that any child, living any where in the U.S. can join them. Previously limited to serving children in Palm Beach county, the children's choir wants to expand their reach, recognizing that music, especialy singing, has served as not only a stress-reliever, but also a connection in this time of isolation and social distancing.

Registration is now open for "Virtual Auditions" via their website, and an online audition information session is being held via Zoom on Saturday, August 8th. Parents must register first to gain access to the audition session. Those with children in grades 2-5 will log on from 10:00-11:00 a.m., while those with children in grades 6-12 should log on from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Conductors will be available to meet and greet, directors will share information on how the program will work virtually, and you will receive instructions on how to upload your singer's audition video.  Visit www.yspb.org/audition to register and reference all requirements by grade range.

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches has vowed to continue fulfilling their mission - even if virtually - giving young children and teens an atmosphere of artistic excellence, helping them to develop teamwork and leadership skills, form supportive friendships, and serve as ambassadors in their community. This, as their motto says, “teaches life skills through music.”
