Virtual Summer Concert features Young Singers and their Conductors

P. Zaros, YSPB
A fun evening online - Those who tuned in enjoyed the amazing voices of three of YSPB's conductors and four of their choir members... and stories about how music has shaped their lives for the better.
Once again hosted by YSPB founding member and active alumna, Jordan Gonzalez, YSPB presented their second virtual concert on Instagram Live: "The Songs That Shaped Us."

Three of YSPB's fantastic female conductors wowed the online audience: Sonia Santiago, Terrion Nelson and Erica Barnes... each sharing a story and a song that meant something special to them. It was so wonderful to get to know a little bit more about these talented and devoted vocalists, and everyone was beyond thrilled to hear them sing... something that many in the audience have not had the pleasure of experiencing before.

Intertwined between the songs and stories of the conductors, viewers had the privilege of hearing from some of the young singers as well. Presenting themselves in outstanding professional fashion were Divya Schulz and Benjamin White from YSPB's Treble Choir, Natalie Chapman from Encore Choir, and Virgina Castro from Lyric Choir. Their solos were beautiful and if you missed the live concert, you should definitely check out the recording on YouTube!

The original Instagram Live concert and interviews took place on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, but you can watch the recording on our YouTube Channel at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cv64SDA66_k
