In midst of cuts to arts funding, YSPB board member heads to Tallahassee
Our Board Vice President, Jene Williams-Rhoads, was in Tallahassee on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, meeting with Representatives and advocating for arts funding.
Our Board Vice President, Jene Williams-Rhoads, was in Tallahassee on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, meeting with Representatives and advocating for arts funding.
Jene met with House of Representatives Members Meg Weinberger, Debra Tendrich, and our local Senator Mack Bernard. She also met with Aides from Senator Erin Grall's office.
We are grateful to Jene's work to push for bills in support of funding organizations like Young Singers, and hope that the Senate and House return favorable news.
