YSPB Singers selected by audition to attend the ACDA National Conference, a prestigious achievement in the world of choral music.
Several Young Singers auditioned for and were selected to attend the ACDA National Conference as part of the Honor Choir, a prestigious achievement in the world of choral music. The National Conference, held in March 2025 in Dallas, Texas, was themed “Celebrating The Choral Art - Past, Present, Future” and offered singers the opportunity to work with top conductors and composers, culminating with Honor Choir concerts at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

One of the highlights for young singers attending the conference is to be inspired by, and perform for the composers of the pieces they sing. For example:
-- Dan Davison, composer of “Bailara,” told the Tenor Bass Honor Choir he was inspired by flamenco from Spain so he included palmeros (clapping).
-- The emotional text of Felicia Barber was composed and arranged into “Dedication” by Zanzibar Stewart Robles. The Treble Honor Choir singers at ACDA got to meet and work with her… it was amazing and powerful!

The Young Singers who attended were:
Noah De Chalambert
Elizabeth Fallon
Mackena Howard
Talyana Del Mar Matos
Alondra Rivera
Melina Velasco
Elissa Wilkinson
