Carrie Leahy has taught for fifteen years at the middle school & high school levels in Palm Beach & Martin Counties. She is currently in her 7th year teaching at Independence Middle School in Jupiter where she conducts an outstanding middle school vocal program of 215 students.
Ms. Leahy grew up in Palm Beach County and is thrilled to continue the tradition of choral excellence with students in her community. Her choruses consistently receive the highest ratings at Music Performance Assessments and competition festivals. She also assists the members of the Jupiter Island Community Chorus in their annual musical production. A former district chairperson of the Florida Vocal Association, Ms. Leahy is also a member of the Music Educator’s National Conference, Florida Music Educator’s Association and the American Choral Director’s Association. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Miami.
