2020 YSPB 5K - Thank You from the Murray Family
Melanee Blankstein, YSPB's Managing Director, extends a big thank you to all of the attendees, volunteers, sponsors and donors who participated in this year's Mary Murray Scholarship 5K, which is named in her mother's honor.
February 8th was a great morning - one spent building community and lending a hand to support the Mary Murray scholarship program at Young Singers of the Palm Beaches. We had over 389 participants come out to support our singers with a brisk morning walk or run. The race included entertainment from our favorite Faith's Place steel drum band, and concluded with a medal ceremony and some yummy pancakes.
This event could not happen without the input and assistance of our sponsors, volunteers and families. Young Singers of the Palm Beaches annual 5K event benefits the Mary Murray Scholarship Fund, which was created to assist children who have an interest in singing and a desire to train and perform with Young Singers of the Palm Beaches but are unable to financially do so. The family of Mary Murray thanks everyone that participated in any way – we look forward to next year and hope to have even more participants.
