Young Singers of the Palm Beaches' Encore Choir had the honor of singing onstage at the Meyer Ampitheatre at the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure in West Palm Beach. In addition to singing the National Anthem prior to the start of the race, the choir also sang multiple numbers including "Stronger" and "Thankful" during the survivor dedication.
Encoe Choir is a choral group at Young Singers comprised of middle school-aged boys and girls with advanced voices. Encore Choir Conductor, Erica Barnes, remarked about this opportunity, “So many of our lives have been touched by breast cancer, and I am proud to participate through song in honor of my grandmother, Camille. The year after she passed, I had the privilege of singing “Hero” here at the Komen, now to be leading a choir of students as they sing, it’s an honor that touches my heart. She was a strong-willed survivor for many years, and I know she looked upon us with joy today.”
