CEO Beth Clark Fights for Arts Funding in Tallahassee

Our CEO, Beth Clark, was in Tallahassee this week working for full funding for the arts through the Division of Cultural Affairs grant.

There are 46 arts and cultural organizations in Palm Beach County recommended for $5.7 million in matching state grants in this year's budget. The House and Senate appropriation committees have made their initial budget allocations with DCA grants only receiving 25% of funding. The Cultural Council is advocating on our behalf. They have participated in Palm Beach County Days, Tourism Day and Arts & Culture Day in Tallahassee to meet with legislators and tell them the impact of the sector and how these issues could directly affect their districts. Beth Clark, CEO of YSPB joined the Cultural Council in this very important quest.

A great meeting with Senator Bobby Powell - Beth shared good news about YSPB - we are ranked #1 for Palm Beach County in our category for the Division of Cultural Affairs funding!
