Betsy McHugh

Ms. McHugh grew up in northeast New Jersey and studied with teachers from Juilliard. She earned her B.M. at Westminster Choir College in piano performance with a minor in voice. Ms. McHugh had a private piano studio in New Jersey and Florida.

She has accompanied various high schools and middle schools, private and public. Ms McHugh is the accompanist for Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, an auditioned program for children in 2nd through 12th grade, which is housed out of The Kravis Center.
This will be her 14th year with Young Singers of the Palm Beaches. She was accompanist for BAK MSOA for 3-1/2 years and Kings Academy for 4 years. This will be her 4th year accompanying at Dreyfoos School of the Arts for Mr. Ken Taylor and the vocal department.

Ms. McHugh has traveled with and accompanied various choirs at Lincoln Center in New York, The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and various Heritage Festivals in Oregon, San Antonio and Atlanta. Ms. McHugh has also accompanied for choral evaluations at state and district levels, Palm Beach County Honor Choirs middle and high school, and vocal and instrumental Solo and Ensemble. She accompanied for 6 years an awards program called Watch A Rising Star, once held by the Junior Achievement of Palm Beach County. Ms. McHugh has also accompanied for Spotlight on Young Musicians in previous years.

Ms. McHugh resides in West Palm Beach with her husband Jim. They have 4 grown sons.
